Lifes Twists and Turns chp. 10

            "Okay so what." Amy mumbled.
            "You have a crush on Shadow.'' Cream laughed playfully hit Amys knee.
            "Is there anything wrong with that." was Amys response.
            "No." Cream smiled. ''Do you want me to get Shadow for you?" she asked again.
           Amy shrugged."If you do yyou have to get someone to go with you.' Amy said looking at her stomach.
          "Dont worry. I will." Cream stood up. " Hey, just to let ya know. I think he likes you to." Cream giggled.
         "So does Rouge." Amy grumbled. ''Hey, just to let you know. Dont tell Shadow about anything that happened when you find him. Wait till you get here  first." Amy warned. She had a feeling that he would just go strait for Sonic if he heard what happened.
        "Like I said, dont worry.'' Cream went and told Tails where and what she was doing then left.
                  

                                             ABOUT AN HOUR LATER

     Cream returned with Rouge and Shadow. They all did look to happy. Shadow was grumbling and Rouge looked like she wanted him to shut up. Cream looked like she was about to murder both of them. Amy had fallen asleep in the chair. Tails came out of the workshop to see the unhappy group.
     'I'm sorry Cream, but can I leave now.'' Rouge asked.
     "Sure Rouge. I'll explain later." Cream nodded to her.
     "Explian what." Shadow snapped sharply. He hated not knowing what was going on that included him.
     "We had a couple of things to tell you and Amy wanted you.'' Cream snapped right back.
     'Amys asleep right now so we can tell you whats wrong right now if you'd like." Tails offered.
    'Please do.'' Shadow said.
    "Hey your on your own Tails." Cream went into the living room hoping to get some sleep herself.
    "Why does Amy want me?" Sjhadow asked Tails who shrugged.
    "The answer to that is with Cream and Amy." He said simply. "Anyways Sonic has a problem now. Hes like...evil...not to offend you or anything but hes kind of like how you where before. You know.'' Tails explained. "See, your the only one who could...help us, well... your the only one who could stop and change him and his mind about whatever caused him to blow like that. We kind of figure you went through this kind of  thing and would understand how to help." Tails was having trouble explaining. "See we are asking you so we can stop him, and stop him from doing something bad, hurting someone," Tails paused and got an idea. "hurting Amy again."
    "Again?" Shadow questioned angrily.
    "Well you see. She told him to leave her alone and.." Tails expained everything to Shadow and it seemed he was winning Shadow over. '...So will you help us?"
    Shadow nodded stiffly. "Wheres Amy?" he asked and Tails pointed to the living room. Shadow went straight in. He saw Amy sleeping soundly and his eyes softned. "You know if you just said she was hurt earlier I could of chaos controlled us here." he whispered to Cream, but didnt look at her.
    "No maybe next time I just shouldnt bring Rouge." Cream grumbled her eyes closed.
    Shadow laughed a little. "I was wondering why you brought her with you. Made me really mad when you wouldnt tell me." he whispered again and knealt down by the arm of the chair Amy was asleep in.
    "Do you love her Shadow." Cream  asked quietly and casualy. Shadow was quiet and stroked Amys tearstained cheek. He did love her. It was love at first sight almost. It was hard to not think about her when he was all alone after the accident. He would die for her. He would kill the blue basterd if she asked him to. He turned to look at Cream who was looking at him.
   "Well.' She asked getting impatient.
    He only looked at her the softness and love in his eyes should of answered the question for her, but he nodded slightly so she could tell for sure.
   Cream smiled. 'You know that she loves you too right.' she paused."I could tell when she finnaly told me about her seeing you in the medow. I can tell when shes thinking of you too.''  Cream whispered laying her head back against the arm of the couch and looked at her poor friend. "She desrves better. She shouldnt have to go through these things. Sonic is such a dick." Cream said sympatheticly.
  "When did you get such language?" Shadow chuckled but agreed with her too. He looked back at Amy. He ran his fingers through her hair. It must of felt good to her because she smiled slightly and herhead pressed into his hand. He dropped his hand down to hers and gently entwinded his fingers in hers.
  Cream watched this and smiled. It made her happy to see someone who actually could love Amy right. It made her stomach feel all tingly for some reason. She thought it was because it was so sweet and loving and happy. "She deserves you." she whispered quietly thinking he wouldnt hear , but his ears perked up when she started talking and he heard her. He just nodded a little.
   Amy started to yawn. Her eyes fluttered open. "Sh..Shadow."she yawned again and lifted the hand that Shadow was holding and didnt even notice andrubbed her eye. He gave her hand a little squeeze and then she noticed . "Oh.hey Shadow." she heard Cream laugh a little. "What?" Amy asked.
   "Nothing Amy." Cream sighed. "Are you going to tell her?"
   "Tell me what?" Amy whinned.
   "She just woke up lets give her a minute." Shadow smiled at Amy.
   "You just dont want too." Cream smirked. " Amy,''
   "Be quiet. We were getting along just fine a second ago." Shadow glared at Cream who went silent. Amy sat up a little and looked at Cream confused. Cream mouthed 'he loves you. he told me' . Amy giggled.
   "What?" Shadow asked.
   "Oh nothing, we'll tell you later." Cream giggled. Amy just smiled at Shadow and nodded. She bent over to whisper in his ear, "I love you too Shadow." Immediatly he looked at Cream who fell off the couch laughing.
   "Hey 'laughs' I would of 'laughs' told you if she didnt wake up right then. " Cream tryed to control the laughing as she sat back down on the couch.
    Shadow just started to ignore her. "Are you okay? Where did he hurt you?" He whispered softly to Amy.
    She didnt want to think  about it , but she would tell him anything if he could make her feel better. " He punched me in the stomach, but i'm okay now." She quickly reassured him so he wouldnt leave her. It must of shown.
    "I'm not going anywhere right now. Don't Worry." he stroked her arm gently.
    "Hey are you going to, you know. Help?" Amy asked. Shadow nodded.
    "Then when hes back to normal can you kick his ass for me?' Amy asked.
    "Yes I can." he chuckled.
    "Good. He deserves a serious asss whooping." Amy nodded to  herself.
    "Yes he does." Cream and Shadow said in unison.
    "How long was I out?" Amy asked. Tails stuck his head into the room.
   "About a good two hours." He told her. Then he went back to work.
    '' Oh god." she let her head fall backagainst the chair. "I almost thought it was tommorow." she laughed a little then flinched because it caused a a sudden hollow pain in her stomach. Shadow was imeadiatly on his feet.
    "Whats wrong?' he asked.
    "Its alright. Just my stomach. Why dont you sit down.' Amy offered.
    " Are you sure?' He asked. "I'll be right back.'' He was back as soon as he left. He had a bottle of asprin. "Here, take one," he handed her the bottle and knelt down again.
    "Shadow please sit down in a chair."  Amy ofered again. The floor was so uncomfertable. He sighed and pulled a chair next to hers.
    Cream giggled. Both Amy and Shadow looked at her. "She just wants to sit in your lap Shadow." Cream giggled again.
    Amy rolled her eyes , but Shadow looked at Amy if it was true. She avoided his stare which meant it was so he got up and picked her up and sat down where she just was and set her down on his lap. Amy stuck her tonuge out at Cream who was laughing some more. When Cream finally stopped laughing Amy leaned her head back against Shadow. She causously looked up to see if this action bothered him. She thought she saw him smiling slightly so she stayed like that. she looked at one of the walls and enjoyed the quiet while she could.
