Lifes Twists and Turns

                  Amy walked briskly toward the sidewalk. She leaned around one of the cars blocking her sight of the street. Quickly shifting the basket she held to her shoulder she crossed the street and continued on to the park. A gust of wind blew her quills into her face and cooled her down from the hot summer day. She could smell fire coming from backyards while children had fun cooking things in it. The Summer breeze complemented it nicely making the air smell crisp. Amy spotted Cream right away as she entered through the park gate.

              "Hey," Cream shouted, "over here Amy!" she waved happily to Amy who ran toward her friend.
             "Hey Cream." Amy said setting down the basket and wrapped her arms around Cream.
              She laughed. "Ready for the picnic?" Her eyes brightened at the word 'picnic'.  Creams cheeks were slightly flushed from the heat, as were Amys.
             "Yeah, I'm starving." Amy sat down wishing for another breeze. She opened the picnic basket letting out the delicous aromas of food. "I went a little overboard for a picnic. Truley, I don't know were to start." Amy said.
              "Anything will do." Cream Stared at the basket longinly. " I think we should start with" she reached into the basket and pulled out some turkey and cheese sandwichs "this." smiling she took a big bite of one and handed the other to Amy.
              Amy took a couple of bites of the sandwich before speaking. "Oh my god. Did you hear Rouge and Knukles are back together AGAIN." She emphisized taking another bite.
              "Really? I thought she was going out with that Shadow person or something." Cream wiped her hands on a napkin.
              'Nope. Its Knukles alright. I was hanging out at Rouges then he came over....oh god it was horrible." Amy made a face and Cream laughed. " Seriously! You should have seen them all kissy kissy goo goo and stuff. It was weird." Amypulled out a water bottle.
               "That bad? Did they stare at eachother like long lost lovers?" Cream leaned forward grabbing a bottle for herself.
               "It got worse than that I had to leave and I told her I had to 'finish up laundry.' " Amy said sarcastically.
               "Nice." Cream giggled. "I can't and don't want to picture it."
